Getting Into University as a Student-Athlete
Universities consider a range of factors when assessing your applications. These include meeting course prerequisites and eligibility requirements.
Understanding the options available, different admission pathways and requirements early can help you plan and prepare an application that reflects both your academic and sporting journey.
Option 1: Local Autonomous Universities and admission links
For student-athletes applying to local Autonomous Universities (AUs), Aptitude-Based Admissions (ABA) provides an opportunity for your achievements, experiences, and strengths beyond academic results to be considered as part of your application.

Option 2: Local Private Education Institutions and admission links
There are several local PEIs which offer programmes accredited by overseas universities.

Option 3: Overseas Universities
If you are considering an overseas university, admission requirements and application processes and timelines will vary across institutions and countries. Start your research early and consider universities that can support both your academic goals and sporting aspirations. Speak with your coach and high-performance manager to help identify universities that are a good fit for both your academic and sporting needs.
As application deadlines may differ from local universities, reach out to your shortlisted universities early to understand their requirements and student-athlete support system.
